Spring has finally arrived at Sugar Camp Farm. It has been a hard time coming with snows continuing to fall off and on all the way up through the month of April. Big Red, our Ford F150 snowplow did not make it through the winter. She broke down working her way back out of Mo' Street with a load of firewood. We had to ask our neighbor to bring his big blue tractor to the rescue. When all was said and done, Big Red had a broken frame and two blown out tires. Our neighbor had to plow our road for us through the winter. Good thing though, it was the harshest winter we've witnessed in our 6 years coming to Cape Breton.
Our local MLA sent us an email stating that his office was going to look into our residency issue. That was surely good news for us. Our son, Wesley, and his family were nominated by the province of Nova Scotia for permanent residency and he may be able to use that as a stepping stone to help us as well.
We continue to operate our "Made In Cape Breton" online store and have had much success selling our products worldwide.

We took our beloved GlenWaddell forest tree lot off the market for good. We realized that it was still a dream unfulfilled and once we get our residency, we will be able to make it come true. Please revisit out Glen Waddell website.

We were able to visit my Father to share our April birthdays together in California. It was great to get to see our family again and visit the ranches in the Owens Valley.
